Vacancy: Senior Project Manager

Overview: 
To manage and be responsibility for the fulfilment of a manufacturing project at our Seacore site in
Venlo (the Netherlands). The Seacore project will have a full-time experienced technical team and
construction staff, together with several outside contractors. All long-lead time equipment has been
ordered for delivery in April and May. The projects is expected to be ready for mechanical completion
and startup testing in June/July.

Project Goals:
In addition to the standard ‘on-time’ and ‘on-budget’ objectives to be mutually defined at the start of the project management assignment, ECOR’s senior management has set for the following goals:

• Site safety training, weekly reviews and employee/contractor-driven best practices to achieve zero injuries during the construction, commissioning and startup of each project

• Establish an open dialogue among ECOR staff, contractors and consultants to seek better design and construction practices on a real-time basis

• Identify cost-saving solutions that meet the project design standards

• Recommend construction improvements that will improve employee safety and/or lower ongoing operating overhead

 

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible and supervise day-to-day assembly of the Seacore production line according to defined specifications and timelines

• Manage the technical team and outside contractors to meet or exceed project-specific goals

• Ensure that the organization’s achievements are reflected in all its operations and activities – including relationships and risk management

• Create and directly manage project timeline/control documents with weekly update summary reports

• Development, implementation and supervising of business (operational, commercial, human resource, financial) and reporting processes

• Development of a milestone planning for all business (operational, commercial, financial, logistical, human resource, etc.) activities for the 18 months in which the factory is constructed, starts its operations and is scaling up operations to a profitable production level (linked to the technical planning of construction, and upscaling of production)

• Development and implementation of management information and reporting systems, and business performance indicators for different aspects of the business

• Supervising and integrating of planning, business processes, procedures and reporting systems developed by service providers and managers seconded by shareholder Noble Environmental

• Acting as counterparty for stakeholders such as shareholder Noble Environmental, other financiers/investors, suppliers, off-takers and others

• Ensure standards and systems are put in place to implement all environmental regulations and agreements

• Contribute to training and development of the team

• Maintain overall project responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related manufacturing legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations and insert as applicable

• Use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls

• Develop plans for the organization’s progress and growth

• Support all other departments in matters related to manufacturing, e.g. procurement of materials

Requirements:

• Proven experience in building sites and facilities
• Proven track record of leadership
• Thorough understanding of business process and technical management
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Best Practice Guidelines, ISO certification
• Fluent in English, Dutch and preferrable German
• Be an example for team members in commitment, manufacturing process expertise, work
ethics and habits and personal character
• Expertise in reviewing, modifying and correcting project AutoCAD documents
• Proven ability to coach and develop others
• High degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Compensation:
A fixed fee per month/gross salary in accordance with the role and related work experience.
